About Us

A Philip Randolph Institute San Diego shall be known as APRI-SD the institute is a 501 (c) (3) organization and its mission is to strengthening the Black-Labor alliance for democratic, political, social, and economic change to impact communities for the better. 
The institute exists to help communities organize and engage in the political, economic, and educational process.
We will not endorse political candidates but we will work diligently in voter registration, voter education, and get out the vote drives. Financial literacy seminars and programs to help build strong families, and an educated inclusive community. 
We are an affiliate of AFL-CIO American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organization Constituency Group.
We are a coalition of labor unions and community members that work towards creating strong partnerships with the labor movement and community engagement.
Gifts made to the institute are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
